KUWAIT CITY, July 31: Acting on the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and as part of coordinated efforts to strengthen oversight of the labor market and healthcare sector, authorities—working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health—conducted an intensive inspection campaign at a private medical clinic in Salmiya.

During the operation, officials uncovered an unlicensed clinic stocked with medicines of unknown origin and smuggled drugs, along with storage violations that failed to meet health and safety standards. Legal action was taken against those involved; six individuals were referred to the competent authorities for deportation orders to be carried out for the violators.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with regulatory bodies to safeguard public health and take firm action against anyone who violates public order or endangers lives.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 2: A Kuwaiti fashion influencer (ZA)has been sentenced to one year in prison and fined BD200 after being found guilty of sharing indecent videos on social media, according to a statement from the Public Prosecution.

The Minor Criminal Court delivered its verdict in person, ordering the confiscation of the influencer’s mobile phones and ruling that she be permanently deported upon completion of her sentence.

The case surfaced after the Cybercrime Directorate at the Ministry of Interior filed a report highlighting a publicly accessible social media account that featured videos of the woman in suggestive and inappropriate poses. Prosecutors argued that the content violated public decency laws and clashed with Kuwait’s cultural norms.

A warrant was issued for her arrest, and investigators later detained her. During questioning, the woman admitted the footage was hers. Her phone was confiscated as evidence, and she remained in custody throughout the investigation until the court delivered its final ruling.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: The Ministry of Interior stated that a traffic enforcement campaign using mobile radar devices on the Mutlaa Residential City Road resulted in 225 traffic violations and the arrest of eight individuals, including wanted persons.

In a press release issued by the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media, the ministry stated that five juveniles were arrested for driving without a license. One individual wanted on arrest warrants was apprehended, while two others were placed in precautionary detention. Additionally, seven vehicles were impounded due to traffic violations.

The ministry emphasized that the campaign was part of its ongoing efforts to apprehend violators and enforce the law equally and without exception. Daily traffic campaigns are being conducted across all governorates, with a focus on areas experiencing heavy traffic or frequent serious violations.

Authorities stressed that there will be zero tolerance for individuals who endanger their own lives and the lives of others on the road. The ministry urged all drivers to strictly follow traffic laws, pay attention to warning signals and signs, and contribute to a safer driving environment.

The primary goal of these campaigns, the ministry concluded, is prevention—fostering a culture of legal compliance, responsibility, and respect for road safety regulations.
