KUWAIT: Following a year of hands-on sponsorship and engaged support, talabat, the leading on-demand online ordering platform in the MENA region, joined the graduation ceremony celebrating over 400 graduates who completed the 2025 edition of Academy X, Kuwait’s largest women’s empowerment initiative in the tech and entrepreneurship industry, led by CODED Academy. The event, hosted at Kuwait University, welcomed the students, their families and friends, and representatives from talabat and other program sponsors.
As one of the key sponsors of Academy X, talabat continued to reinforce its commitment to supporting women in STEM and investing in Kuwait’s aspiring talents across all fields, especially technology and innovation. This aligns with talabat’s social responsibility strategy and its active contribution to achieving Kuwait Vision 2035 goals. “On behalf of talabat’s management and the dedicated instructors who took part in Academy X, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to all the graduates on their outstanding commitment, not only to completing the program, but more importantly to having the courage to push past their boundaries and build a better future for themselves,” said Bader Al-Ghanim, Vice President and Managing Director of talabat Kuwait.

Following the speeches delivered by Academy X sponsors, the ceremony showcased the program’s winning projects, from among 100 innovative projects developed across the three cohorts in 2025 and honored the teams behind them. On its part, talabat presented the “talabat Award for Best Food Technological Innovation”, which was granted to the EcoWajba project, developed by team members Dalya Mohammed, Noor Al-Razeehan, Jana Mohammed, Nabila Al-Mannaei and Hind Al-Mukhaizeem.
Reflecting on the recognition, team member Dalya Mohammed said: “I am very proud to be among the teams whose projects are recognized as outstanding. I am also very grateful to all our mentors from CODED and talabat, who inspired us every step of the way to seek knowledge with passion and to find creative solutions to everyday problems using advanced technology and smart tools.”
Throughout the program, which spanned three cohorts, talabat took various engaging approaches to support the Academy X students. The company hosted program participants at its HQ for a visit that introduced them to real-world technology and innovation through discussions with employees, hands-on workshops and a competition that tested the knowledge they had acquired on their Academy X journey. Moreover, Salma Hassan, Manager – People Operations, delivered an insightful session to the members of the third cohort on the evolving tech landscape and the skills shaping tomorrow’s workforce.
Building on the success of Academy X’s first two editions, talabat confirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting the growth and development of the program’s future editions, with strategic goals that include sponsoring a bigger number of participants and offering them a more advanced experience that is up to date with emerging technologies.
