Kuwait Airways launches its first training courses in Artificial Intelligence

KUWAIT: As part of its ongoing efforts to develop and enhance employee performance, Kuwait Airways organized its first training course on artificial intelligence. The course focused on fields related to public relations, marketing, and social media. Commenting on the launch of the course, the Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Kuwait Airways, Hamad Bader Al-Ozainah, stated, “This training course is the first of its kind on artificial intelligence organized by the Training and Development Department at Kuwait Airways.

This course will be expanded in the future to include other specializations that will play a vital role in developing and enhancing employee performance, developing their professional and intellectual capabilities, and fostering new horizons for innovation and creativity, all of which will positively impact the company’s overall performance.” Al-Ozainah added that the course included the use of well-known applications and programs such as ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot, DeepSeek, and other modern technologies designed to support employees in finding effective solutions for their daily tasks, as well as in organizing advertising and media campaigns, among other functions.

He emphasized that using these programs effectively requires intensive practice and training to achieve optimal results, whether in conducting research, generating analyses, or monitoring the company’s performance across social media platforms. Al-Ozainah stated that the objective of this course is to enhance employee efficiency and performance in line with the technological advancements in artificial intelligence, particularly within the air transport sector. He explained that Kuwait Airways continues to focus on educating and equipping its employees in an optimal manner that aligns with the scale and pace of development in the region.

Al-Ozainah noted that this initiative is part of Kuwait Airways’ comprehensive digital transformation strategy, which aims to enhance the company’s technological infrastructure and integrate artificial intelligence tools into various operational and administrative functions. This integration, he explained, will help accelerating procedures and enhance decision-making accuracy through data-driven insights and smart analysis. He pointed out that Kuwait Airways, in line with its strong commitment to investing in the human element, strives to create a work environment that encourages innovation and enhances employees’ capabilities with the skills needed to navigate future technologies.

This approach supports the establishment of a culture of continuous learning within the company in general. Al-Ozainah concluded by emphasizing Kuwait Airways’ commitment to staying at the forefront of the latest developments in the aviation industry, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence and its wide-ranging applications. He noted that the national carrier consistently prioritizes the development of the company’s internal work system, whether through the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and or by training employees to achieve its desired goals.

2020: The National Assembly approved a bill to organize structure of population, aimed at specifying number of foreign workers in Kuwait. The parliament also approved a draft law amending some regulations concerning people with the special needs to improve services towards this section of society.

2021: Kuwaiti government implemented final actions to return to normalcy as of October 24 following COVID-19 restrictions. This includes allowing conferences, festivities, social gatherings, and weddings. Face masks were required in closed spaces and could be removed in open areas.

2021: The Kuwaiti government tasked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to implement the third phase of the plan to operate Kuwait International Airport at full capacity as of October 24 following COVID-19 restrictions.

Kuwaiti diplomat, Bangladeshi Army Chief discuss military cooperation

 NEW DELHI: Kuwait’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ambassador Sameeh Johar Hayat met on Monday with Bangladeshi Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, at the Army Command Headquarters. The two sides discussed military cooperation and coordination, as well as means to enhance bilateral relations and address issues of mutual interest.

Attending the meeting were Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ali Hamadah, Bangladeshi Ambassador to Kuwait Major General Syed Tareq Hussain, and a number of Bangladeshi officers. The Army Chief lauded the military and security cooperation between the two countries, expressing hope for further enhancement of bilateral ties.

The first round of political consultations between the two foreign ministries concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening ties. Ambassador Hayat also met on Sunday with his Bangladeshi counterpart Mohammad Hussain and delivered a handwritten letter from Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya regarding ways to bolster bilateral relations in various fields. The Kuwaiti diplomat concluded his two-day official visit and departed Bangladesh on Monday. — KUNA

Scout Movement Conference opens in Kuwait

KUWAIT: The Scout Movement Conference commenced in Kuwait on Sunday under the patronage of Education Minister Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, with the participation of 200 Arab and international scouts. In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Kuwait Boy Scouts Association Dr Abdullah Al-Taraji noted that the conference coincides with the 70th anniversary of the association.

He lauded the political leadership, the Minister of Education, and all relevant parties for their continuous support of scouting in the country. The conference’s first session will focus on strategies to develop the Scout Movement, expand membership, and enhance youth empowerment.

The second session will address the Scouts’ contributions to sustainable development and their role in supporting the Palestinian project. The third session will explore the development of camps and scouting activities, as well as the importance of alternative and complementary medicine in treating injuries within the movement.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Arab Parliamentary Scout Union and the Arab Union of Boy Scouts and Girl Guides. During the opening ceremony, several prominent figures were honored for their efforts in advancing the scouting movement and promoting volunteerism and national values through diverse scouting programs. — KUNA
