Kuwait Municipality Targets Defacement Violations

KUWAIT CITY, March 21: The Safety Department teams are continuing their inspection campaigns to monitor defacement sites at government and private sector projects, ensuring compliance with defacement regulations and addressing violations.

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality announced that the Safety Department’s supervisory team in Jahra Governorate recently conducted its third field inspection campaign in the Saad Al-Abdullah and Nahda areas. The campaign aimed to intensify field visits, inspect defacement sites, and ensure compliance with regulations. The team also took necessary measures to address safety violations and emphasized the timely removal of defacement in line with municipal licenses.

The department stressed that inspection teams will not hesitate to enforce all supervisory measures as per defacement regulations to ensure compliance with established controls and systems. During the third campaign, two violations were issued, and three pledges were obtained from parties failing to meet safety requirements in the Saad Al-Abdullah and Nahda areas.

The municipality called on all stakeholders to adhere to its regulations and laws, emphasizing that inspection teams across all governorates will intensify their campaigns to monitor defacement work and ensure compliance with safety procedures. The teams are closely focused on implementing the Kuwait Municipality’s regulations and systems through ongoing field campaigns in various governorates.

She falsely claimed to offer residential apartments in the UK for Kuwaiti students, convincing parents that she owned properties near British universities. In exchange for reserving these non-existent units, she collected large sums of money. Investigations revealed that she operated the fraudulent scheme in partnership with an Egyptian accomplice who fled the country once the scam was uncovered. Despite the exposure, she continued her fraudulent activities until her arrest. She was later charged with fraud and money laundering. The Court of Cassation upheld the lower court’s ruling, confirming her guilt and making the verdict final.
