KUWAIT CITY, July 6: The security services have arrested a Kuwaiti citizen for deliberately attempting to undermine national unity and incite sectarian strife through a social media platform. The arrest followed the circulation of a tweet containing offensive language that insulted the social fabric and promoted divisive rhetoric.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that all necessary legal actions have been taken against the individual.

The Ministry reiterated its firm stance against any actions that threaten national unity, promote hate speech, or encourage sectarian incitement, emphasizing that such behavior will not be tolerated.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: As part of its ongoing efforts to curb traffic violations and improve safety on roads, the General Traffic Department, under the Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector, carried out a highway campaign on Friday using mobile radar devices. The operation was supervised by Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Al-Ateeqi, Head of the Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector.

The campaign led to the issuance of 156 traffic citations, including violations for speeding and other infractions. Authorities also arrested one individual wanted under an existing arrest warrant.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated its commitment to conducting regular field campaigns, emphasizing the need for motorists to comply with traffic regulations to protect lives and property. The ministry further urged drivers to cooperate with traffic officers to enhance overall road safety.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: The Ministry of Interior (MoI), through its Security Directorates Affairs Sector, conducted a field campaign in the Taima and Sulaibiya areas in coordination with several government authorities. The operation led to the removal of multiple encroachments on state property and the arrest of individuals of various nationalities engaged in unlicensed commercial activities on public lands.

In a statement on Saturday, the MoI confirmed that the campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and the Public Authority for Housing Welfare.

The ministry noted that final warnings were issued to the violating households, with a deadline of September 15 to remove the encroachments. Failure to comply will result in legal action under the terms of the usufruct contract.

The MoI emphasized that coordination with relevant authorities will continue to address all forms of encroachments and violations, ensuring the protection of state property and the maintenance of public order.

Two Expats Die Under Suspicious Circumstances In Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: The bodies of two expatriates were transferred to the forensic medicine department following deaths under suspicious circumstances in Dabaiya and Jahra. According to a security source, authorities received a report regarding the death of an expatriate at his workplace in Dabaiya. Upon arrival, paramedics indicated that the death appeared to be suspicious.

In Jahra, another expatriate was brought to Jahra Hospital, where a medical examination also raised suspicions of foul play. The forensic medicine department is set to determine the exact causes of both deaths.
