Expat Hit And Killed While Working On King Fahd Road

KUWAIT CITY, July 15: An expatriate worker, born in 1981, tragically died early Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle driven by a Kuwaiti citizen, born in 1980, on King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Road near Ahmadi, in the direction of Nuwaiseeb.

According to a security source, the victim was employed by the Ministry of Public Works and was carrying out his duties on the highway at the time of the incident.

Kuwaiti Child Rapist sent for evaluation of his mental status

KUWAIT CITY, July 15: The Criminal Court Tuesday ordered a citizen, accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting an Arab child in Maidan Hawally on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, to be referred to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation of his mental condition. Security forces arrested the suspect after receiving a report from the child’s family and locating his whereabouts. The child was rescued just hours after his disappearance. Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect suffers from psychological disorders. As a result, the court ordered his referral to a specialized psychiatric hospital to evaluate the extent of his criminal responsibility.

Busted! Cigarettes Found Hidden Inside Flour Bags in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, July 15: Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of cigarettes concealed innovatively inside specially made flour bags at the Al-Salmi border crossing.

The incident unfolded when a Saudi national driving a vehicle was undergoing departure procedures. A customs officer grew suspicious of several bags that appeared to contain flour. Upon closer inspection, officials discovered that the bags had been expertly modified to conceal 22 packs of cigarettes in tightly sealed, hard-to-detect compartments.

Authorities seized the contraband and filed an official report. The case has been referred to the General Department of Criminal Investigations for further inquiry and to pursue those responsible for preparing the concealed shipment.

Customs authorities reaffirmed their ongoing commitment to combating all forms of smuggling, enhancing detection techniques, and taking firm action against anyone attempting to bring in prohibited items.
