KUWAIT CITY, July 21: The Criminal Court has sentenced three Egyptian expatriates to seven years in prison with hard labor for forging official documents. The defendants were found guilty of manipulating electricity and water bills for a businessman and two other Kuwaiti citizens in exchange for bribes.

According to the Public Prosecution, the trio illegally accessed and tampered with electricity meters, altered billing records to reduce or cancel charges, and accepted large sums of money in return. They were also charged with accepting bribes, neglecting their official duties, and embezzling public funds.

KUWAIT CITY, July 20: Firefighting teams responded to a fatal accident on Saturday evening involving the fall of a maintenance worker inside an elevator shaft in the Khaitan area.

According to a statement from the Kuwait Fire Force, teams from the Farwaniya Fire Station and the Search and Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene immediately after the incident was reported.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that a worker had fallen into the elevator shaft of a residential building. 

The site was secured and later handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation.

KUWAIT CITY, July 20: Kuwait Customs officers at Terminal 4 (T4) airport have seized approximately 200 kilograms of banned chewing tobacco from passengers arriving in the country. The contraband was discovered during routine inspection procedures and has since been confiscated. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and reaffirmed their commitment to combating the smuggling of prohibited substances into the country.
