KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Kuwaiti security authorities referred two individuals to the General Department for Drug Control in separate incidents involving narcotics and suspicious items.

First Case: Asian Expatriate Arrested in Farwaniya

According to a security source, a patrol team from the Farwaniya Security Directorate noticed a vehicle parked suspiciously in a dirt lot during a late-night inspection campaign. When officers approached the car, the man inside attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.

The suspect, identified as an Asian expatriate, was searched on the spot. Police discovered 15 bags of a chemical drug in his possession. During questioning, the man confessed that he was involved in promoting and distributing narcotics to customers. He was immediately referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further legal action.

Second Case: Young Man Caught in Intoxicated State in Sulaibikhat

In another incident, officers from the North Sulaibikhat Police Station referred a 22-year-old man, born in 2002, to the General Department for Drug Control after finding him in an abnormal condition.

A police patrol in Sulaibiya Block 2 spotted an American-made vehicle parked on the roadside with the driver seemingly asleep. When officers attempted to wake him, they discovered that he was in a deep stupor, slurring his speech, and completely unaware of his surroundings.

Upon searching the vehicle, police seized:

  • Five blue and white pills suspected to be narcotics
  • A light bulb (commonly modified for drug use)
  • An axe and a knife

The presence of the weapons raised concerns that the young man may be connected to violent crimes such as robbery, in addition to drug abuse.

Both cases have been transferred to the General Department for Drug Control, which has launched investigations to determine the full extent of their activities and possible connections to wider criminal networks.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: An expatriate has filed a complaint at the Al-Qashaniyyah Police Station, accusing a colleague of phone misuse that resulted in significant personal and professional harm, including the loss of his job. He also announced his intention to file a compensation lawsuit against the individual responsible for the incident.

According to case documents, the complainant, born in 1984, submitted a video transcript as evidence, showing him asleep during work hours. He alleged that his colleague, who is of the same nationality and born in 1983, secretly filmed him while he was resting on the job. The colleague then sent the footage to their immediate supervisor and later to the department head.

The situation escalated when the supervisor forwarded the same video back to the complainant, accompanied by an official termination letter citing negligence in the performance of his duties.

The expatriate denied being negligent, explaining that he was simply exhausted and momentarily fell asleep. He described the act of filming and circulating the video as a deliberate attempt to harm his reputation and career.

In a surprising twist, the complainant added that he had previously intervened on behalf of the very colleague who recorded and reported him, making the betrayal even more distressing.

Authorities have registered the case and initiated investigations into the complaint of phone misuse and defamation.
