Kuwait intensifies crackdown on residency and labor law violations.

KUWAIT CITY, May 24: The General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations has intensified its nationwide security efforts in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower, Kuwait Municipality, and the Kuwait Fire Force, as part of an ongoing campaign to apprehend violators of residency and labor laws.

Between May 11 and 18, inspection teams conducted coordinated raids across several governorates, focusing primarily on industrial zones including Shuwaikh Industrial, Amghara, and Na’ayem Scrap. Authorities reported the arrest of 823 individuals found in violation of residency and labor regulations during these operations.

The inspection campaigns targeted multiple non-compliant sites and facilities, leading to the detention of a large number of offenders. Legal procedures were promptly initiated against them, in coordination with shelters run by the Public Authority for Manpower.

In the same timeframe, 1,084 violators were deported after completing the necessary legal processes. The deportations were carried out in cooperation with the Deportation and Detention Affairs Department.
