KUWAIT CITY, March 30: Hawally detectives successfully apprehended an expatriate who brazenly stole money from a fellow citizen at a local bank, despite being under close surveillance by security cameras.

According to a security source, the victim—an expatriate—filed a report stating that while he was waiting inside the bank with a small bag beside him, KD 50 was stolen from it. However, he refrained from accusing anyone at the time. The source added that the case was handed over to detectives, who reviewed the bank’s CCTV footage to identify and arrest the suspect. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the theft, admitting that he had noticed the victim’s bag open with the money visible, prompting him to steal it—unaware that he was being monitored.

The suspect further revealed that after committing the theft, he considered returning to the bank to hand the money back to the victim under the pretense of having found it, but ultimately decided against it. The accused has since been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.

KUWAIT CITY, July 29: An Iraqi woman has been arrested in Kuwait after allegedly posing as a spiritual healer and exploiting vulnerable individuals through black magic and sorcery in exchange for money.

The General Department of Criminal Investigation, under the Ministry of Interior’s Financial Crimes Division, apprehended the woman — identified as Iman Abdul Karim Abboud Kazim — during a carefully coordinated sting operation in the Adan area. Authorities say she falsely claimed to possess supernatural powers and the ability to solve people’s personal, financial, and family problems by performing rituals and predicting the unseen. Victims, desperate for solutions, paid her sums of money in the belief that she could change their fate.

Investigators launched the operation after receiving confirmed intelligence about her illicit activities. Following a period of surveillance, officers obtained a legal warrant and set a trap that led to her dramatic arrest. When apprehended, the accused was found in possession of various items used in sorcery, including amulets, ritual papers, herbal oils, padlocks, and talismans, allegedly used to convince her victims of her so-called powers.

She and the confiscated materials have since been handed over to the appropriate legal authorities for further action. The Ministry of Interior has urged the public not to fall for such fraudulent and illegal practices, warning that anyone involved in harming society through deception or superstition will be brought to justice. It also encouraged citizens and residents to report similar cases through official channels.

KUWAIT CITY, July 28: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a shocking lawsuit seeking divorce and financial compensation after donating a kidney to her husband, only for him to marry another woman and subject her to physical abuse.

The plaintiff’s lawyer, Hawra Al-Habib, revealed the heartbreaking details, saying: “Marrying another woman alone isn’t grounds for divorce. But when a wife gives her husband a part of her body ( a kidney ), the very organ that keeps him alive, and then he turns around and beats her, it breaks her heart and makes living together impossible.”

Al-Habib confirmed she will be demanding compensation for the emotional and psychological trauma her client has endured, emphasizing that violence is never a form of discipline, whether for adults or children, and is strictly forbidden.

She added, “The relationship has been insulted and degraded. One party offered loyalty and selflessness, while the other responded with betrayal and cruelty. Some couples manage to rebuild after separation, but no relationship can survive when one partner is insulted for no reason.”

This case highlights the devastating consequences of betrayal and abuse in what should have been a loving marriage.
