KUNA, UNICEF explore cooperation, promote children’s rights
KUWAIT: Acting Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Mohammad Al-Mannai received UNICEF Communications Director for the Gulf States Sarah Al-Zoghari on Sunday to discuss avenues of media cooperation and strategies to enhance KUNA’s role in promoting awareness and humanitarian issues related to children’s rights. During the meeting, Al-Zoghari outlined the scope of UNICEF’s work, including its regional and international programs, and emphasized the importance of media collaboration in amplifying the organization’s humanitarian mission.

Discussions also focused on mechanisms for coordination between the media and UNICEF to effectively communicate messages aimed at improving children’s welfare. Both sides affirmed the importance of establishing a media partnership that highlights children’s issues and strengthens public awareness of their role in achieving sustainable development goals. Deputy Director General for the Editorial Sector Essam Al-Ghanim also attended the meeting. — KUNA
