KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: As part of its ongoing efforts to protect markets and consumers, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has continued its emergency inspection campaigns across various governorates in Kuwait.
The most recent campaign, carried out in Jahra Governorate, uncovered multiple violations, most notably the sale of counterfeit goods by several shops in breach of approved regulations. As a result, 11 shops were shut down, and appropriate legal actions were taken against the offenders.
The Ministry emphasized that these inspection campaigns operate around the clock to combat commercial fraud and address any violations that undermine consumer rights. The emergency teams remain committed to enforcing strict deterrent measures against violators.
The Ministry also urged consumers to report any suspected violations through the official hotline or communication channels, highlighting that public cooperation is essential for market regulation and ensuring commercial justice.
