Kuwait Times, Kuwait News teams attend specialized workshop

KUWAIT: Kuwait Times and Kuwait News teams attended a workshop on “Effective Media Presence for Impact and Documentation,” led by Internationally Certified Vocal Intelligence Trainer Amna Al-Mohna, on Thursday. The workshop covered advanced techniques for on-camera performance, vocal variation, body language, and improvisation during live reporting.

During the workshop, Al-Mohna engaged participants in practical exercises and scenario-based learning, where attendees explored the “Pyramid of impactful media presence,” voice-coloring methods, and strategies for adapting messages to specific audiences. The session aimed to enhance the teams’ capacity to document events and deliver compelling messages that resonate with audiences across both traditional and digital platforms.

Al-Mohna is an internationally certified trainer in vocal intelligence, holding certifications from Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, and the UAE. Pakistan Embassy in Kuwait marks Independence Day

KUWAIT: To commemorate the 78th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence, the Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait organized a flag hoisting ceremony at the Chancery on 14 August 2025. The ceremony was well attended by a large number of Pakistani community members, including women and children.

Special messages from the President, Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out before the audience.

Ambassador, in his remarks, felicitated all fellow Pakistanis and highlighted the significance of the Day. He paid his tribute to our forefathers, whose sacrifices led to the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent. He also praised the valiant armed forces of Pakistan for their resounding victory against its arch enemy in Marka-e-Haq.

The Ambassador urged Pakistani community in Kuwait to work diligently and wholeheartedly towards the progress and development of Pakistan. He acknowledged the contribution made by Pakistani community in Kuwait towards the progress and development of both nations. Musical performances were also made by the children as well as Pakistani singers on famous national songs. A cake cutting ceremony also took place during the event.

PAM launches salary service in Sahel Business

KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced Wednesday the launch of the salary completion certificate service in the Sahel Business app. The Authority stated that the electronic service is intended for business owners and allows them to issue and print a salary transfer completion certificate for the workers registered on their file, based on bank’s transfer data approved by local banks.

“This demonstrates their commitment to transferring workers’ wages in accordance with the provisions of the ministerial resolution on the Wage Protection System for Workers in the Private Sector.” It explained the steps for applying for the service, which include logging into the Sahel Business app, selecting Public Authority for Manpower services, then selecting Certificate Services (Salary Completion Certificate), filling in the required fields, selecting the type of certificate required, and then uploading the certificate.

Governor discusses Ahmadi health district plan with minister

KUWAIT: Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah discussed with Minister of Health Dr Ahmad Al-Awadhi on Wednesday the ministry’s plan for the Ahmadi Health District, the governorate’s needs, and future challenges in transforming it into an integrated medical city.

Following the meeting at the ministry’s headquarters, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said that he and Minister Dr Al-Awadhi reviewed the most prominent health projects completed in the governorate, including the opening and operation of the new Maternity and Childhood Hospital, the establishment and operation of health and specialized centers, the expansion of dialysis services, the opening of a new physiotherapy building, medical stores, and parking lots, as well as the enhancement of emergency and dental services.

He explained that the meeting addressed the future plan, which includes the establishment of advanced medical facilities, the separation of outpatient clinics from the main hospital to reduce congestion, the establishment of a new hospital for internal medicine and surgery departments, the expansion of the cardiac treatment building, the introduction of clean energy technologies, and the development of medical tourism services.

He noted that the two sides discussed mechanisms for cooperation with major international companies to implement major health projects, most notably the Ahmadi and Sabah Al-Ahmad Medical Cities, according to a specific timetable, while addressing funding challenges, accelerating the pace of completion, and ensuring the equitable distribution of health services across the governorate. 

The governor stated that the aim of the meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Naham, was to meet the needs of the residents and form joint committees to expedite the implementation of projects to ensure the provision of integrated and sustainable health services to the governorate’s residents. — KUNA
