KUWAIT: The KUNA Center for Media Development launched Sunday a training program on “News Writing” in English, with the participation of employees from Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Qatar News Agency (QNA) and the Public Authority for Sports. The program, presented by Professor of Translation at the American University of Kuwait (AUK) Morteza Mollaei, runs until September 25 and focuses on the importance of news and the fundamentals of formulating local and international reports, including the key questions that effective news stories should answer.

Combining theoretical and practical approaches, the training also addresses challenges and limitations in news writing, techniques for translating official news, and methods of editing both specialized and general content. Established in December 1995, the KUNA Center for Media Development is regarded as one of the region’s leading media training institutions. Over the years, it has organized hundreds of programs across various fields of media with the aim of developing professional skills and enhancing the quality of journalistic work. — KUNA
