KUWAIT: Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah affirmed Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening coordination and cooperation with member states in international forums, particularly in advancing human rights. Speaking after her meeting on Tuesday at the Foreign Ministry with European Union Ambassador to Kuwait Ann Koistinen and a group of EU ambassadors, Sheikha Jawaher highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance joint cooperation during the 60th session of the Human Rights Council, where Kuwait serves as a member for the 2024–2026 term.

She praised the European Union’s keenness to maintain close coordination with Kuwait in every session of the council, noting the importance of continued dialogue on issues of shared concern. The meeting also reviewed key priorities and topics on the Human Rights Council’s agenda, as both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening joint action to promote human rights globally. — KUNA
