Female doctor jailed for 6 months for negligence

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: The Court of First Instance sentenced a doctor to six months in prison and ordered her to pay KD 100,000 in compensation to one of her patients, for failing to exercise due diligence in performing her professional duties, which caused significant harm to the patient. The plaintiff’s counsel Lawyer Abdullah Al-Sanad proved that the convicted doctor committed negligence, made a wrong diagnosis, and failed to provide proper treatment to his client.
