KUWAIT, Oct 14: Hawalli officers referred two individuals to the General Department for Drug Control (GDDC) after they were found in possession of heroin and a bottle of imported alcohol during a security campaign in the Salmiya area.
According to a security source, the incident occurred when a patrol unit stopped a four-wheel-drive vehicle carrying two men who appeared to be in an intoxicated state. Upon inspection, it was revealed that one of the suspects had a prior record related to drug offenses.
When questioned about his past activities, the suspect attempted to dispose of a transparent bag, which officers suspected contained heroin. The patrol team immediately searched the vehicle and the suspects, leading to the discovery of another bag containing heroin and a bottle of imported liquor.
Both individuals were taken into custody and referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further investigation and legal action.
