KUWAIT: Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Head of His Highness the Crown Prince’s Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Wednesday received Chairman of the Kuwait Blind Association Fayez Lafi Al-Azmi and members of the board at Bayan Palace. The delegation offered congratulations on their appointments to their new posts. Sheikh Hamad reaffirmed the leadership’s commitment to supporting the blind community, removing obstacles they face and mobilizing resources to ensure their empowerment and full integration into society, in line with the state’s vision for the rights and care of persons with disabilities.

He also congratulated the association on assuming the presidency of the Asian Blind Union and securing membership in the Council of the World Blind Union. He expressed pride in the accomplishment, which he said enhances Kuwait’s standing in regional and international forums. The officials commended the association’s longstanding role in serving its members and providing them with support and opportunities that enable active societal participation.
