KUWAIT: The Arab Parliamentary Union (APU) has welcomed the findings of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry’s report on (Zionist) actions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, urging immediate international measures to end the policy of impunity that has allowed these violations to persist. In a statement signed by APU President Ibrahim Boughali, the union emphasized that the report provides conclusive evidence of systematic crimes against humanity committed by Zionist forces, including allegations of genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.

The APU underscored that the report documented severe violations against Palestinian civilians, including the deliberate dissemination of footage on social media aimed at intimidation and forced displacement. The union stressed that these findings demand urgent international intervention to hold those responsible accountable and put an end to ongoing transgressions.

Furthermore, the APU called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations by supporting the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, in line with international law. It also urged immediate measures to end the occupation, prosecute those responsible for war crimes, and lift the blockade on Gaza to alleviate the worsening humanitarian crisis. — KUNA
