KUWAIT CITY, March 24: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has escalated a suspected case of fraud involving a commercial raffle to the Public Prosecution for further legal action. In a related development, criminal investigation officers apprehended an Egyptian woman accused of involvement in the case at Kuwait International Airport as she attempted to leave the country.
The General Department of Criminal Investigation had issued a circular with the suspect’s details to all entry and exit points across the country. Acting on this alert, authorities arrested the expatriate woman at the airport before she could depart. She has since been handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
