Ex-MP Majed Al-Mutairi, others get two years jail in vote-buying

KUWAIT CITY, April 10: The Court of Appeals sentenced former MP Majed Al-Mutairi and others to two years in prison with hard labor for vote-buying. The Criminal Court previously imposed an imprisonment sentence on Al-Mutairi and others for buying votes in the Fifth Constituency during the National Assembly elections held on June 6, 2023. The ruling included a similar prison sentence for other defendants, a four-year prison sentence for another defendant and a fine of KD 2,000.
