KUWAIT: As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing innovation, supporting education, and empowering creative minds, Zain announced its sponsorship of the Higher Education in the Era of Innovation summit, organized by Abdullah Al-Salem University with the support of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). The summit was held under the theme: Education in the Age of Innovation: Benefits, Challenges, and Functionalities.
Zain took part in the summit’s opening ceremony, held under the patronage and attendance of Dr Nader Abdullah Al-Jallal, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Dr Moudhi Al-Humoud, Chair of the Founding Administrative Board of Abdullah Al-Salem University; Dr Adel Al-Husainan, Secretary General of the Board; and Hamad Al-Marzouq, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Zain Kuwait, along with university leaders and participating partners.
Zain’s support for this summit reflects its continued efforts to foster innovation and creativity within the community and its commitment to backing academic efforts amidst rapid digital transformation and the knowledge challenges facing the education sector. Through its dedicated booth at the accompanying exhibition, Zain showcased its latest technology solutions tailored for universities and academic institutions in Kuwait. These solutions aim to accelerate digital transformation in the education sector, with innovation at their core.

Held at Abdullah Al-Jaber Hall at Abdullah Al-Salem University, the summit spotlighted the evolution of higher education in the innovation era. It brought together a select group of academic leaders, technology experts, and decision-makers to discuss the impact of modern technologies—such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and interactive virtual environments—on curriculum design, institutional management, and student engagement.
Key topics included smart campuses, AI-powered personalized learning, predictive analytics, data security, and the policies required to drive digital transformation. The summit aimed to address existing challenges, share successful case studies, and chart a roadmap for the future of higher education—ensuring institutional readiness, inclusivity, efficiency, and sustainability.
On the sidelines of the summit, Zain honored the winners of its Innovation Nation Award: Team HALALI, who secured first place, and Team Threion Space Band, who took second place—recognizing their excellence in harnessing innovation and technology to achieve educational objectives.
