DUBAI: The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences honored Kuwaiti educator Jawaher Al Osaimi and student Kawthar Nasrallah on Wednesday during an awards ceremony held at the Dubai World Trade Center, celebrating winners of the “Future Science Challenge.” Al Osaimi, a teacher at Ghanima Al-Marzouq Secondary School for Girls, was presented with the Distinguished Teacher Award in recognition of her exceptional contributions to advancing the educational process. In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al Osaimi emphasized that her commitment to the mission of education continues to inspire her to innovate for the benefit of her students. She noted that the award’s criteria served as a guiding framework to assess her performance and sustain a positive impact within the classroom. She further highlighted the importance of creative teaching methods, early interactive learning, and the integration of modern educational tools, stressing that excellence should be a daily practice in the life of every educator.

Nasrallah dedicated her win to Kuwait, extending her gratitude to her family, her school, and the foundation for fostering an environment that nurtured her growth. She added that the award marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of giving and national service.

This recognition is part of the Hamdan Foundation’s longstanding commitment to excellence, which began with the launch of the Distinguished Academic Performance Award in 1998. Since then, the initiative has expanded to include achievements in both medical and educational sciences at local and international levels. The accomplishments of Al Osaimi and Nasrallah underscore the strength of Kuwait’s educational framework and its role in empowering both teachers and students to reach new heights of excellence. — KUNA
