KUWAIT: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of safety and security in the workplace, Zain conducted a successful emergency evacuation drill at its main headquarters in Shuwaikh, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior. The drill aimed to ensure the readiness and commitment of all employees in emergency situations. The company achieved a new record by fully evacuating its buildings smoothly within just five minutes, according to the Civil Defense report. The drill was designed to test the efficiency and preparedness of emergency response procedures.
Employees demonstrated a high level of commitment and notable safety awareness through the accurate implementation of security and safety protocols, marked by an orderly evacuation process and the absence of injuries or delays.
The drill was supervised by Civil Defense officials, who monitored the evacuation plan and ensured it complied with all official requirements and regulations set by the Ministry of Interior to safeguard the wellbeing of all company personnel.
This initiative falls under Zain’s corporate risk management strategy, through which the company is keen on implementing all the safety requirements outlined by the Civil Defense. These include appointing trained staff members as emergency marshals on every floor of its headquarters to oversee evacuation procedures during emergencies.

The company also regularly hosts awareness seminars and health campaigns, such as vaccination drives and blood donation events, in collaboration with bodies like the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Health.
