Fire Force cracks down on safety violators in Bneid Al-Qar

Fire authorities take action against unsafe facilities in an inspection sweep.

KUWAIT CITY, May 13: The Kuwait Fire Force carried out an inspection campaign Monday evening in the Bneid Al-Qar area, in coordination with several government agencies. Participating entities included the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Electricity and Water, the Environment Public Authority, Kuwait Municipality, and the Food and Agriculture Authority.

The joint campaign was aimed at inspecting buildings and facilities for compliance with fire safety and prevention regulations, as well as the standards set by the participating authorities.

The operation led to the identification of multiple violations. As a result, a number of facilities were administratively closed due to their failure to meet the safety requirements set by the General Fire Force and other involved agencies.

KUWAIT CITY, May 13: The Family Court has issued a ruling compelling a Kuwaiti man to divorce his Kuwaiti wife and granting her custody of their children. The court issued its ruling after confirming that the man suffered from sexual dysfunction caused by excessive use of hormones intended for muscle building, in addition to his repeated acts of infidelity. Lawyer Muhammad Safar, who represented the woman, filed for divorce on the grounds of harm and sought custody of the children. He presented evidence proving the defendant’s sexual dysfunction due to continuous hormone use, along with multiple documented instances of infidelity. These included content shared on social media, where the husband frequently displayed his physique and engaged in inappropriate relationships with several women.

Two arrested for smuggling drugs into Central Prison using drones

Anti-narcotics unit nabs two in high-tech prison drug plot.

KUWAIT CITY, May 13: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking, the local anti-narcotics unit of the General Department for Drug Control has apprehended two suspects accused of smuggling narcotics into the Central Prison using drones. The suspects, both stateless residents (Bedouns), were arrested in the areas of Fintas and Saad Al-Abdullah.

The arrests follow extensive investigations and surveillance that revealed the duo’s method of operation. Authorities discovered that the suspects had used unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to transport drugs to an inmate inside the Central Prison. The smuggling operation was carried out in exchange for financial compensation.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized its unwavering commitment to combating all forms of criminal activity, particularly drug trafficking, which it described as a serious threat to public safety and the well-being of society.

The Ministry also called on citizens and residents to support national security efforts by reporting any suspicious activities through official communication channels.

KUWAIT CITY, May 13: The Misdemeanor Court, presided over by Counselor Anwar Bastaki, sentenced three defendants to three years in prison on Tuesday for manslaughter in connection with the Mangaf fire case. Additionally, two defendants were sentenced to one year in prison for perjury, while four others received one-year prison sentences for concealing a fugitive from justice.
