Kuwait Fire Force: Tampering with official seal is a criminal offense

Kuwait Fire Force warns of legal consequences for tampering with official seals.

KUWAIT CITY, May 15: The General Fire Force has confirmed that legal action will be taken against any individual found tampering with official state emblems, including seals and stickers, following the circulation of a video clip showing such a violation.

Brigadier General Mohammed Badr Ibrahim, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department at the General Fire Force, stated that the video — widely shared on social media platforms — depicted an individual unlawfully removing an official sticker and seal belonging to the Fire Force without any legal justification.

“What the individual did constitutes a criminal offense under the laws and regulations in force in the country,” Brig. Gen. Badr said, adding that the act represents a clear violation of protected government property and official documentation, which are classified as legally safeguarded symbols.

He stressed that the relevant authorities swiftly responded and have taken the necessary legal measures against the perpetrator.

Brig. Gen. Badr underscored that tampering with any official symbol or seal is a punishable offense that undermines the authority and prestige of official institutions and poses a serious breach of legal protocols.

“The General Fire Force will not tolerate such actions and will address them firmly within the legal framework,” he affirmed.

He concluded his remarks by calling on the public to respect and adhere to the laws in place, urging a collective sense of responsibility in safeguarding official emblems. He encouraged citizens and residents to report any similar violations to the relevant authorities.
