ADEN: Kuwait’s Al-Najat Charity Society on Sunday inaugurated the “Al-Khaireen 10” village project in the Tur Al-Baha district of Lahj Governorate, as part of its ongoing humanitarian campaign “Kuwait by Your Side,” now marking its tenth year of operations. The project comprises 30 fully constructed housing units along with integrated service facilities, aimed at supporting sustainable development and improving living standards in underserved rural communities.

Advisor to the Governor of Lahj, Omar Al-Samati, praised Kuwait and Al-Najat Charity for their continued humanitarian contributions. In a statement to the press, Al-Samati underscored the impact of such initiatives in alleviating the hardships faced by Yemeni families, particularly in remote areas suffering from limited access to basic services.

Deputy Director of the Yanabi’ Al-Khair Foundation, Abdul-Ghani Al-Hajjaji, outlined the details of the project, which includes not only housing but also the construction of a mosque, a three-classroom primary school, and an administrative office. The village is further supported by a comprehensive water system and solar-powered energy solutions.

Al-Hajjaji added that beneficiary families will also receive support through small income-generating projects aimed at improving livelihoods. He affirmed that the initiative reflects Al-Najat’s broader commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in Yemen, by fostering long-term stability and development. The Al-Khaireen 10 project stands as a testament to Kuwait’s enduring solidarity with the Yemeni people and its continued efforts to deliver meaningful, life-changing aid to those in need. – KUNA
