General Fire Force closes 85 shops, issues 122 violations in Jahra crackdown
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: Kuwait’s General Fire Force on Tuesday closed 85 industrial facilities and shops in the Jahra Industrial Expansion area after an inspection campaign found violations of fire safety regulations, the authority said.
The operation was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, the Public Authority for Industry, and the Kuwait Municipality.
Inspectors also issued 122 violation notices to other establishments that failed to meet safety requirements.
The campaign targeted buildings and facilities that did not comply with fire prevention and safety standards, it added.
