Zain, KAFO put sustainability at heart of youth empowerment

KUWAIT: Zain Kuwait announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with KAFO, the first national non-profit platform for showcasing youth talent and facilitating communication, search and collaboration among them, with the aim of expanding the impact of sustainability initiatives and youth empowerment in Kuwait. The partnership was announced at the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) at the company’s headquarters in Shuwaikh, joined by Waleed Al-Khashti, Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer at Zain Kuwait, and Dr Fatima Al-Mosawi, CEO of KAFO, along with the Zain team.

This collaboration affirms Zain’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and its efforts to promote social innovation, its belief in the role of youth in leading positive change, and its keenness to build effective partnerships capable of transforming youth ideas into measurable initiatives that create positive impact.

Zain will be a main partner for KAFO’s Sustainability Track, which includes a series of specialized initiatives and events throughout the 2025–2026 season, such as the Sustainability Challenge, the KAFO Forum – AI for Impact: Prompting with Purpose, the Zero Waste Ramadan campaign, and the Green Hackathon. These initiatives aim to spark youth creativity and generate practical solutions to pressing environmental and social challenges.

Zain continues to translate its vision of building a sustainable economy and a more inclusive digital society by investing in innovation and empowering young talent, adopting initiatives that reduce the carbon footprint, enhance resource efficiency, and activate circular economy principles. The company applies an impact-measurement approach from program design to execution, ensuring scalable solutions and long-term partnerships that contribute to developing future skills, digital education, and entrepreneurship.
