KUWAIT: The KUNA Center for Media Development on Sunday launched a training program titled “Website News Editing,” with participants from Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), and the Kuwait Ports Authority. The program, led by KUNA Senior Editor Mohammad Abu Bakr and running until October 9, covers a wide range of topics including types of editorial content and their differences, online news editing standards, social media guidelines, the nature of digital media, and distinctions between print and electronic editing.

Participants will also engage in exercises designed to enhance accuracy and clarity in news writing. Combining both theoretical and practical components, the course further addresses digital journalism fundamentals, news value criteria, technical standards for producing high-quality content, and hands-on training in drafting news reports.

Established in December 1995, the KUNA Center for Media Development is regarded as one of the region’s leading media training institutions, having offered hundreds of courses across various media disciplines. The center is dedicated to developing professional skills and elevating standards within the media sector. — KUNA
