KUWAIT: Kuwait Municipality has launched a comprehensive field inspection campaign in Ahmadi Governorate to ensure adherence to municipal regulations and maintain public order. The campaign targeted violations across various sectors, with inspectors taking appropriate action against offenders. Head of the Ahmadi Governorate Municipality team, Dr Mubarak Al-Mujawb, told reporters that the initiative aims to enhance basic services, preserve the aesthetic appeal of the governorate, organize markets, and maintain cleanliness.
He added that the campaign led to the removal of 13 abandoned vehicles and four food trucks, the arrest of three street vendors, and the issuance of six violations for unlicensed use of public space by inspectors from the Cleaning and Road Occupation Department. In addition, 11 unauthorized canopies were removed after previous warnings, while the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department issued four building violation notices and 16 advertisement-related violations.
Dr Al-Mujawb stressed that inspection teams across all six governorates prioritize strict implementation of municipal regulations through coordinated field campaigns. He called on residents and business owners to adhere to Kuwait Municipality’s laws and regulations, noting that follow-up campaigns will continue across the governorates. He emphasized that municipal inspectors will not hesitate to take corrective measures to ensure compliance and uphold regulatory standards. – KUNA
