KUWAIT: The Embassy of Palestine in Kuwait inaugurated the “Resistance for Hope” art exhibition in collaboration with the Contemporary Art Platform (CAP), on Wednesday, bringing together artists and supporters to honor Palestinian resilience through art and culture. In his opening remarks, the Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait, Rami Tahboub expressed gratitude to all participants who made the efforts to shed light on the Palestinian cause, stating “This exhibition comes at a time when our people in Gaza have endured two years of ongoing genocide. More than 66,000 lives lost, over 120,000 injured, and two million forcibly displaced.”
The Palestinian ambassador emphasized that the tragedy marks another dark chapter in 78 years of occupation and injustice, noting that art serves as a powerful and peaceful means to convey the Palestinian narrative. Ambassador added “Through art, culture, and heritage, we express our steadfastness and deliver our message of resilience and truth to the world,” saying “The event featured works by distinguished international artists Hani Zuorb from Palestine, Alfred Tarazi from Lebanon, and Saad Hamdan from Kuwait, whose art pieces depict stories of struggle, endurance and hope.”
The exhibition underscored global solidarity with Palestine, ambassador Tahboub said “Millions have marched for justice, and more nations now stand on the right side of history, recognizing the State of Palestine and affirming our people’s right to self-determination,” extending appreciation to those countries. The ambassador invited guests to experience the artworks “Not just with their eyes, but with their hearts,” as each piece reflects “a story of pain, resistance, and above all, hope,” according to him.
