KUWAIT: The Ahmadi Governorate collected 152 blood bags during its sixth blood donation campaign held Friday at The Warehouse Mall in South Sabahiyah. Held under the patronage and in the presence of Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the campaign — organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health’s Blood Transfusion Services Department — ran from 1 pm to 7 pm.

The event drew “remarkable turnout from citizens and expats,” according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), in what they described as an encouraging sign of community awareness about the importance of blood donation and strengthening the country’s strategic blood reserves.

Sheikh Humoud told KUNA that “the large turnout reflects the humanitarian spirit and growing community awareness of the importance of donating blood to save lives.”

He praised the efforts of participating entities and volunteers “for their cooperation in ensuring the campaign’s success”. He also extended his appreciation to supporting organizations, led by the Ministry of Health’s Blood Transfusion Services and Emergency Medical Services departments. — KUNA
