195 fugitives, 111 expat violators nabbed in Kuwait security sweep

KUWAIT CITY, June 10: The General Directorate of Emergency Patrols in the Interior Ministry continued its security campaigns in all governorates last week, resulting in the arrest of 25 drug users who were referred to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD). Statistics issued by the General Directorate of Emergency Patrols revealed the arrest of 195 persons wanted by law, 78 without valid identification documents, and 111 with expired residency permits; while 60 vehicles wanted by the judiciary were impounded, six fights were dealt with, and humanitarian assistance was provided to 572 people. A security source confirmed that such security campaigns are ongoing to apprehend wanted persons and anyone proven to have violated the laws of the country
