Bedoun Woman Defrauded Of KD 17,000 In Fake Apartment Deal

KUWAIT CITY, June 10: Hawally detectives have referred two women, one 44-year-old and the other, a 41-year-old, both Bedoun (Stateless), to the Public Prosecution on charges of defrauding a fellow Bedoun. The referral followed their confession to the crime and admission that they had spent the stolen money.

According to the case details, the victim, a 54-year-old Bedoun woman, filed a report stating that one of the suspects had offered to purchase an apartment for her in a Gulf country, even showing her photos of the property. Convinced by the offer, the victim handed over KD 17,000 as a deposit. However, the suspect began delaying communication and eventually stopped responding to her calls.

Following the registration of a case under charges of fraud and breach of trust, the investigation was assigned to detectives. Both defendants were summoned and confessed in detail to the fraudulent act and misuse of the funds.
