Kuwait National Guard, France discuss defense cooperation

KUWAIT: Undersecretary of the National Guard (KNG) Lieutenant General Hamad Al-Barjas held talks on Thursday with French Embassy Military Attaché in Kuwait Colonel Jerome Bugeaud on ways to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation. In a statement, the KNG said Lt Gen Al-Barjas received the French attaché, who was accompanied by a delegation from the French Ministry of Defense’s General Administration of Armament, led by Colonel Cedric Berthomi, Director of the Middle East Directorate at the International Department.

The meeting was attended by KNG Assistant for Administrative Support Major General Engineer Essam Nayef. Lt Gen Al-Barjas welcomed the visiting delegation and conveyed the greetings of the National Guard leadership, represented by Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Deputy Chief Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. He affirmed the National Guard’s readiness to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise with the French side across various fields. — KUNA
