KUWAIT: Moscow’s Tourism Committee on Thursday launched the Moscow Seasons Festival in Kuwait at The Avenues Mall, marking the first time the event is being held in the Middle East. The festival runs until September 27 and brings a taste of Russia’s culture, traditions, and modern attractions to local audiences.

The festival highlights Moscow’s rich heritage and contemporary charm through an interactive pavilion. Visitors can explore a cultural exhibition, take photos in a themed “Moscow Winter Tale” zone, and write down their winter wishes in Arabic and English.

A “Moscow Tea Corner” offers traditional sweets, candies, and the city’s signature tea blend. Guests can also try virtual reality headsets for immersive tours of Moscow, pick up Arabic-language brochures about tourist sites, and learn about Muslim-friendly facilities. Commemorative stamps are also available.

Another feature, “Discover Moscow,” challenges visitors with daily interactive activities and prizes. Each evening, live performances by the groups Balalaikas and Vselena Folk blend Russian folk traditions with modern rhythms, creating a lively stage atmosphere. The Moscow Seasons Festival is being promoted as “a new and important step toward strengthening cultural exchange and tourism cooperation between Kuwait and Russia.” — KUNA
